Looking for an activitiy for your son other than or in addition to sports, THINK SCOUTS! Boys ages 6 to 18 can join Scouts at any time or age. Even if your son did not join in 1st Grade, he can still join and be very successful in Scouts. Ask Tommy Micke (KCSS grad) who joined in 7th Grade and in 10th Grade is well on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout. (Boy Scouts top Rank!)
Scouts offers a safe environment meant for all personalities and abilities. The leaders are trained through the Boy Scouts of America and all adults that are working with the youth must complete Youth Protection Training every two years.
Scouts teaches moral values such as honesty, respect, and responsibility, along with the weekend camping trips and outdoor activities. Meetings and events are never mandatory. We do, however, like to see the boys participate in as many opportunities as possible.
If your son has an interest in scouting please do not hesitate to contact any of the leaders below. Both meet @ Holy Cross.
