Elementary School

During the elementary years (kindergarten-grade 5) at St. Ignatius Catholic School, also known as the grammar stage, emphasis is on acquisition of knowledge and mastery of the basics. Students gain a wide knowledge base to build upon throughout their schooling years and life. At this age, students easily absorb facts and learn best through song, memorization, recitation, and repetition.

In addition to core subject areas, students also begin both Latin and Spanish in kindergarten and also have specials (art, music, and physical education) throughout these grades at St. Ignatius.
