Dr. Lisa Moore
Dr. Moore grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the first of eight children. She attended St. Joan Antida High School in Milwaukee. She went on to Marquette University, where she rediscovered her Catholic faith and received her B.A. in Theology and English Literature, with a minor in Spanish, followed by her M.A. in Theology. She worked as a Director of Religious Education and as a Director of Youth Ministry in two different parishes in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, before moving to the Appleton area. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and children.
In May of 2019, she completed her doctorate in Religious Studies at Marquette University, with a concentration in Historical Theology. Dr. Moore’s scholarly interests include the writings and lives of holy men and women in Jewish and Christian antiquity. She is inspired by the goodness, truth, and beauty of the Catholic faith, and is interested in how the Early Church informs our Church today. She is looking forward to teaching at St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy, and sharing her love for Christ and His Church with youth and their families.
