High School Academics

St. Ignatius Classical Catholic High School Kaukauna

Our rigorous, integrated curriculum prepares students to succeed in college and professional life, and to excel in service of family, of country, and of Christ our Lord.

Nothing could be a better preparation for success at college. Our classically educated students fare very well on standardized tests and college admissions. Yet our mission does not end with merely getting students into college. We are preparing them for life, which includes finding their vocation. A Catholic classical education helps students discern and follow God’s calling for their lives.

Daily Liturgy

At St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy, we begin each day with liturgy, so our students are able to experience daily the love of Christ. The spiritual life of the school includes retreats, weekly Adoration, formation, pro-life outreach, and ongoing opportunities for service.

Classical, Integrated Curriculum

The St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy model begins with a classical, integrated curriculum. Students read Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, Virgil, Dante, Chaucer, Shakespeare, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Teresa of Avila, Dostoyevsky… and of course, G.K. Chesterton.

History, literature, philosophy, and theology are braided together. The sciences and the humanities are also intimately connected, so that the logic of math is seen in philosophy, and God’s handiwork is seen in the sciences. Faith and reason meet in every class.

Fostering a Love of the Arts

Equal emphasis is given to the arts, so that every student learns to draw and paint, sing in the choir, play in the band, act on the stage, give speeches, and engage in debate.

Each year builds on the previous, so that by the end of senior year, students develop into articulate, clear-thinking, well-rounded, and, very importantly, joyful individuals.
