Mrs. Tonie Mixer
Mrs. Tonie Mixer is the fifth grade teacher at St. Ignatius Catholic School. Her background includes 37 years of educating students and adults in the Green Bay Area with most of those years concentrated in the upper elementary grades. Tonie is a life-long learner; she holds a master’s degree in elementary education from Northern Michigan University and has continued to earn graduate credits throughout her extensive career. Professional experience aside, her greatest passion is being with children and learning through and from them.
Mrs. Mixer has had a personal relationship with Jesus throughout her life. In addition to spending time daily with the Lord, she enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and being immersed in the natural world. Tonie has been married to Mr. Dan Mixer for 39 years, and they have raised two beautiful daughters. Amazingly, Dan is also a teacher at St. Ignatius! The Holy Spirit never ceases to astonish and delight her every day. Beginning her career teaching 5th-8th grades in the Diocese of Green Bay, she feels incredibly blessed to come “home” once again teaching for the Diocese at St. Ignatius Catholic School. Mrs. Mixer is very excited to meet and get to know her new students and their families!

Welcome new fifth graders and families!
What a blessing it was to meet you at our open house last week! I am looking forward to working closely with you this year! Thank you for your kindness and encouraging words. They mean so much to me!
Please join in celebrating our new year together by attending an informational/get acquainted meeting after school on Thursday, September 2nd. I will be going over classroom expectations as well as answering any and all of your questions. It is my hope to see all of you then!
Peace and Joy!
